St. Patrick's Day Family Fun Day at Brennan's Market

Wisconsin Food Festival

The Wisconsin Food Festival will take place September 14-16, 2013, at Lake Lawn Resort in Delavan, WI. Fondue Fest

Downtown Fond du Lac Partnership presents the 7th Annual Fondue Fest on Saturday, September 7, 2013. This year's festival will have a number of different palate-pleasing cheese and chocolate fondues, prepared and presented by students of the Culinary Arts Program at Moraine Park Technical College. Every year, between 70-90 pounds of Grande cheese is melted into a delicious fondue recipe which also features several other ingredients including apple cider. Over 200 loaves of Artisan bread is baked by Tom Endejan and 3,000 portions of cheese and chocolate fondue is sold in one day! Make sure to make at least one, if not many, stops at the cheese tent on Forest Avenue!  The MPTC culinary students make an awesome cheese fondue enjoyed by all ages.

Other favorite events will also return, including the Kids' Zone, music stages plus great food and great fun!

Wisconsin Master Cheesemaker Demonstrations

Pittsburgh-area Market District stores will welcome Wisconsin Master Cheesemakers Joe Widmer of  Widmer’s Cheese Cellars and Mark Gustafson of Sartori Cheese in August. Widmer and Gustafson will conduct demonstrations for customers to learn the ins and outs of a variety of different Wisconsin cheeses, while also enjoying samples throughout the process.

Hatch Chile Pepper Events

August also marks the arrivial of the famous Hatch Chile Peppers. These popular peppers are only available three to four weeks out of the year and will be available to Market District stores throughout the month. During weekend food events and demonstrations, held Aug. 10-11, 17-18 and 24-25 at Robinson Township and Bethel Park Market District stores, customers will learn all about Hatch Chile Peppers and how to use them in a variety of different enticing dishes from traditional Mexican cuisine to hamburgers and pizza, making them the perfect pairing for Wisconsin Cheese.

Lamers Dairy Celebrates June Dairy Month

All month long during June Dairy Month, Lamers Dairy in Appleton ( is featuring soft-serve cones made from our own rBGH-free Lamers Dairy Dairyland’s Best milk for just 50 cents with the proceeds benefiting St. Joseph’s Food Program.  The cones are available in vanilla, chocolate or twist. We are open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 7 pm, and Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm.  We have seating inside and picnic tables outside.  On weekdays, between 8 am and 11 am, you can also watch us bottle milk, including milk in our popular glass bottles, through a 30 foot observation window in our dairy store.

St. Joseph’s Food Program has been helping Wisconsin families in the area for more than 30 years.  They not only provide food, but educate families on nutrition and healthy living.  They distribute more that two and a half million pounds of food annually at no cost to those they are helping.  They rely on over 400 dedicated volunteers so contributions go to helping families in need.
